Merry Christmas from Judy and Me

It's Christmas Eve in Tarkio, a dim dark morning, a good time to savor the full pot of coffee in a favorite cup.  There's baking to be done, and the final wrapping of packages and gathering of boxes from Amazon.... and travel in the day ahead...the best kind...picking Ben up at the airport.  I cannot help humming the words of this lovely sentimental Christmas tune...

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light

Next year all our troubles will be out of sight

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the yule tide gay

Next year all our troubles will be miles away

Here we are as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore

Faithful friends who were near to us
Will be dear to us once more

Someday soon, we all will be together

If the fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough...

So have yourself a merry little Christmas now

We will have peace and prayer, and warmth, and the kind of happiness that makes one cry.
Every light will be lit and the house will rock with the thunder of small feet on the stairs.  A full house makes a happy heart....and a grateful soul....
